Museum is reopening in October 2024

We are pleased to announce that the Australian Fly Fishing Museum is reopening early in 2025. It will be housed in a new location on the current site. The many items in the collection have been audited and we need to renew displays and rehang items and reorganise the cabinets.

We would love you to volunteer – either one off or perhaps a monthly basis for a day.

Situated at the National Trust property, Clarendon House, on Tasmania’s South Esk River, the museum has been closed for a while. The reopening will see it move a few metres to the old stables building – one much more suited and fit for purpose.

It will be open in line with Clarendon House hours – not every day, but with regular hours.

If you can volunteer one day a month it would be greatly appreciated. It is a beautiful location and there is always plenty to do.
